Bolds Creative Corp respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you visit boldscreative.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
Bolds Creative Corp is a creative and production studio based in New York, at 1239 Broadway, Suite 701, New York, NY 10001. For any question about this policy or about your personal information, email us at info@boldscreative.com.
We do not sell or trade your information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not trade, rent, or exchange it with anyone. We do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles. The only parties who see it are the service providers listed below, who handle it on our behalf and under our instruction.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you fill in a form on this site or write to us by email, we receive what you choose to send: typically your name, your email address, your company, and the content of your message. Form submissions are emailed to us and are also saved as a contact record in our Squarespace account.
Information collected automatically. This site runs on Squarespace, which records standard technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view. Squarespace collects this through cookies and similar technologies and reports it to us as site analytics. Squarespace's own privacy notice is at squarespace.com/privacy.
Search performance data. We use Google Search Console to see how this site appears in Google Search. It reports aggregate information to us, such as which search terms brought people here and which pages Google showed. It does not place cookies on your device and it does not identify you to us.
We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other third-party tracking on this site.
We do not send marketing email. Contacting us does not put you on a mailing list. We hold your details to answer you and to pick up the conversation later if it goes somewhere, and that is all. If that ever changes we will ask you first, and we will update this page.
Why we collect it
To respond to inquiries and follow up on them, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and to keep the site secure and working properly.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and in maintaining a functioning, secure website. Where consent is required for analytics cookies, we rely on the consent you give through the cookie notice on this site.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand site traffic. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect how the site works.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as it is relevant to a current or potential working relationship, then delete it. The contact records created by our forms are held in our Squarespace account on the same basis, and we review them at least once a year and clear out anything no longer relevant. Squarespace analytics data is retained according to Squarespace's own retention periods. Google Search Console holds search performance data for sixteen months.
You can ask us to delete your contact record at any time by emailing info@boldscreative.com.
Who else sees it
We use service providers to run the site and our business communications:
- Squarespace, our website host and form provider
- Google Workspace (Gmail), our email provider
- Google Search Console, for search performance reporting
These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where we need to protect our legal rights.
Where information is held
Our service providers store and process information in the United States and may do so in other countries. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this means your information may be transferred outside your country. Our providers use standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards for those transfers.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it, to send you a copy, or to stop using it. Email info@boldscreative.com and we will respond within a reasonable period, and within any deadline the law sets.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, and you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. In the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the rights set out below. This section uses the categories the law defines.
What we collect, and why. In the past twelve months we have collected three categories of personal information.
Identifiers, meaning your name, email address, and IP address. We get these directly from you and automatically from your browser. We use them to respond to inquiries and to operate and secure the site. They are held by Squarespace and Google Workspace.
Commercial information, meaning your company and the project or service you are asking about. You give us this directly. We use it to respond to inquiries. It is held by Squarespace and Google Workspace.
Internet activity, meaning pages viewed, referring page, and browser and device type. This is collected automatically through cookies. We use it to understand site traffic and improve the site. It is held by Squarespace.
We do not collect sensitive personal information as the CCPA defines it, so there is no right to limit its use to exercise.
We do not sell or share personal information. We have not sold personal information in the past twelve months, and we have not shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising, which is the specific meaning "share" carries under the CCPA. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under sixteen, and we have no actual knowledge of ever having done so.
Global Privacy Control. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing for an opt-out signal to act on. We honor Global Privacy Control signals regardless.
Your rights. You may ask us to tell you what we have collected about you, including the specific pieces; to delete it; to correct it; and to opt out of sale or sharing. Email info@boldscreative.com. We will confirm receipt within ten business days and respond within forty-five days, extending once by a further forty-five days if we need to and telling you why.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request. We will ask for written permission signed by you, and we may ask you to verify your identity directly.
Verification. Before we act on a request to know, delete, or correct, we will verify that you are who you say you are, usually by matching the email address you write from against what we hold.
No retaliation. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lesser experience for exercising any of these rights.
Information security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. Our website and email sit with established providers that encrypt data in transit and at rest, and access to inquiry correspondence is limited to the people at Bolds who need it to do their work.
No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of sixteen. If you believe a child has given us information, email info@boldscreative.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
